Antony a doubt for FA Cup final as Manchester United winger is stretchered off in tears as Erik ten Hag gives update

Antony was stretchered off in serious pain in the first half of Manchester United’s Premier League match against Chelsea.
The Brazilian was left writhing on the floor after a challenge from Trevoh Chalobah within the first half hour of the game, and quickly signalled for support.
Medics came on the pitch to help the clearly distressed Brazilian, but after he attempted to stand, he sat back down and was put on a stretcher.
The injury could jeopardise the winger’s FA Cup final chances in just over a week’s time on June 3 against Manchester City.
As he was being carried off the pitch, Antony kept his face covered by his hands and was briefly stopped at the touchline by Erik ten Hag who offered his support.
The Man United manager brought the winger with him from Ajax last summer in an £80million deal.
So far the 23-year-old hasn’t had the best debut season in England, managing eight goals and three assists in 43 appearances.
One of those matches was in the League Cup final, though, with Antony starting in a game that saw United pick up their first silverware in five years.
And as the 14th most expensive player of all time, United will be hoping to have him back when they take on rivals City attempting to end their treble dream.
