Monaco enter battle for Man United, Man City and Liverpool target

Monaco are ready to splash out to land Real Madrid’s Fabio Coentrao ahead of Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool.

Coentrao produced the best performance of his Bernabeu career earlier this week during Real Madrid’s 1-0 Champions League semi-final first leg win over Bayern Munich.

The Portuguese full-back was watched by Monaco’s billionaire owner Dmitry Rybolovlev, who saw the Portuguese full-back provide a superb assist for Karim Benzema.

talkSPORT told you on Monday that Inter Milan have already met with Coentrao's representative Jorge Mendes over a possible summer move, but Monaco are ready to rival the pack of clubs chasing the left-back.

United failed to sign him on loan last August but still harbour hopes of bringing him to Old Trafford, while domestic rivals City and Liverpool, as well as Inter, are also keen.
