Arsenal release new away kit in star-studded launch video but fans dub it ‘worst in years’

Arsenal released their new away kit ahead of the 2023/24 season and not everyone is keen.
The Gunners launched their all-new change strip in a star-studded video on Tuesday, as they prepare to kick off their pre-season tour of the United States.
The video posted on the club’s social media channels, features first-team stars Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, William Saliba and captain Martin Odegaard.
The launch saw Arsenal collaborate with a host of famous fans including Ashley Walters, Mabel, Asa Butterfield and Martin Kemp.
Following the success of last season’s pink away shirt, the Gunners have opted for a high-vis-like 'shock yellow' jersey with black horizontal stripes across the top half and stripes with sharp bends towards the lower half of the shirt.
The badge and sponsor are displayed in blue, with a black neck trim and black and blue sleeve trims.
Arsenal opted for black shorts and yellow socks to accompany the new shirt.
But optimism around the release quickly turned sour after a host of Arsenal fans voiced their opposition to the design.
One fan wrote: "Worst kit in years.”
Another added: “Can you get a refund from Adidas? They really screwed up here."
A third wrote: “Amazing video. Shame about the kit.”
Another tweet read: “This kit was designed by a Spurs fan.”
Whilst a further comment simply read: “Trash.”
It seems that not everyone took a dislike to the new shirt with a group of Arsenal fans giving their seal of approval to the new colour scheme.
An approving fan wrote: "That kit might have just grown on me!"
Another commented: "Nothing wrong with the kit, people need to stop crying."
The Gunners and new record-signing Declan Rice could be in line to wear their new-look kit during Thursday’s first pre-season tour fixture against an MLS All-Star side in Washington DC.
Arteta’s side then head to New Jersey on Sunday to face familiar opposition in Manchester United before taking on Barcelona in Los Angeles next week.
But Arsenal’s pre-season preparation doesn't end there. French club Monaco head to the Emirates Stadium on August 2, four days before the Gunners face Manchester City in the Community Shield.
Arsenal kick off the new season with a home game against Nottingham Forest on August 12.
