Real Madrid started their Copa Del Rey campaign by thrashing third-tier Cultural Leonesa 7-1 on Wednesday night.

But with the Galacticos of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale all rested, it was up to the lesser known names of Los Blancos’ squad to make the difference.

And what an impact Nacho Rodriguez made for Spanish giants.

The 26-year-old was teed up by teammate James Rodriguez before acrobatically scoring from just inside the penalty area.

Everyone in the purple away kit of Madrid watched in awe as the fringe player produced a contender for goal of the season.
