Chelsea once rejected £70m Callum Hudson-Odoi offer, now Fulham want cut price deal

Fulham are trying to agree a fee with Chelsea for Callum Hudson-Odoi, talkSPORT understands.
Hudson-Odoi is pushing for a move to Craven Cottage after being told he is not part of Mauricio Pochettino's plans.
The 22-year-old has struggled to break his way into the first team picture at Stamford Bridge despite being considered one of the club’s big hopes.
He spent last season on loan at Bayer Leverkusen scoring just once in 21 games.
It comes three years after Chelsea rejected Bayern Munich's loan offer with a £70million option to purchase the winger.
Fulham could become the beneficiary of Hudson-Odoi’s descent down the pecking order by landing him for a cut-price fee, with Chelsea holding out £8m.
The Cottagers are not alone in their interest for the wideman with Italian side Lazio interested in taking the England international to the Stadio Olimpico.
Lazio’s second-placed finish last season means they can offer him Champions League football and the opportunity to relaunch his career at the top table of the European game.
Hudson-Odoi earned three caps for England in 2019 but has since struggled to catch the eye of Gareth Southgate.
If Fulham are successful in their attempt to prise the winger away from Stamford Bridge, he would become the third academy star to leave the club this summer.
Mason Mount’s move to Manchester United raised eyebrows earlier this month and Ruben Loftus-Cheek completed a permanent switch to AC Milan.
Chelsea’s mass clearance shows no signs of slowing down with Mateo Kovacic, Kalidou Koulibaly, Christian Pulisic, Edouard Mendy, Cesar Azpilicueta and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all departing.
And there is still time for Romelu Lukaku and Hakim Ziyech to leave the club whilst Conor Gallagher is being tracked by West Ham.
