Chelsea and Liverpool played out a thriller at Stamford Bridge as they drew 1-1 in their Premier League opener.

The visitors took the lead through Luis Diaz early on before seeing Mohamed Salah denied by VAR after he thought he’d added a second.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side made a nervous start but grew into the game after conceding and equalised through debutant Axel Disasi.

Ben Chilwell then thought he’d scored to turn the game around but VAR intervened again to disallow the left back’s strike.

The constant action continued in the second half with Liverpool appealing for a penalty but seeing nothing given, leaving Jurgen Klopp fuming.

And the Premier League giants couldn’t break eachother down for a second goal meaning the clash ended in a draw for the seventh meeting in a row.
