Rice has settled into life at Arsenal quickly after his summer move from West Ham in a potential £105million deal.

The 24-year-old remains unbeaten during his time in north London, with four wins coming from their opening five matches this season.

Rice scored his first goal for the club in their dramatic 3-1 victory over Manchester United before the international break.

He is widely regarded as one of world football's best central midfielders, but it's Rodri who he sees as the cream of the crop.

When asked by Joe Cole who he believes are the top midfielders in Europe and the Premier League, he told : "Obviously the main one in the Premier League is Rodri.

"He's incredible, what a player he is. The way he works, the way he keeps that Man City team ticking, you know he's a top player."

Rice's Arsenal co-star Thomas Partey is another player he admires as well as Aurelien Tchouameni, who is shining for Real Madrid.

"Partey when I came to Arsenal was incredible and has been up until his injury.

"Tchouameni at Real Madrid, he's a youngster as well, he's aggressive, gets on the ball, goes forward with it, he's very good."

Rice then named another fellow Arsenal talent in his list, with Jorginho one of the most experienced players in their squad.

"One who surprised me so much, not surprised me because I knew he was such a good player anyway, playing with him everyday in training, seeing how he is because he's not the biggest, is Jorginho," Rice said.

"His brain, the way it works as a holding midfielder, I've just been trying to pick up little things off him.

"He's always in position, always knows when to pass, always creates time for himself. He's an outstanding trainer and I've been trying to take little bits from his game as well."

Rice added: "I'm trying to learn from everyone to be honest, I'm only 24. I've got all the abilities myself but there's still things to add to get to the top and that's what I want to do."
