NFL legend JJ Watt loves s***housery shown by Burnley cake maker for Blackburn fan’s birthday

NFL legend JJ Watt gave his seal of approval after a Burnley cakemaker trolled a Blackburn fan’s 40th birthday.

Watt, a former tight end for the Houston Texans, became a minority investor in Burnley in May and it appears that he is already fully armed for the club’s local rivalry with Rovers.

The 34-year-old took to X, formally known as Twitter, after coming across an image of a birthday cake with a difference.

That’s because a Burnley fan was given the task of baking a Blackburn-themed birthday cake for a customer.

The cakemaker carried out the task as instructed with the Blackburn club crest placed on top alongside the words ‘Happy 40th Birthday Ashley.’

But when the recipient cut into the cake, there was a surprise waiting for them beneath the sponge.

The cake making Burnley fan took it upon themselves to add in a layer of claret and blue icing which no doubt shocked those preparing to tuck into it.

The incident has since gone viral, even ending up on Watt’s social media feed - to his delight.

Watt immediately replied to the post with: “Legend.”

The trolling represents another strike on Rovers by their rivals after Burnley confirmed last season's Championship title with a 1-0 win at Ewood Park in April.

To make matters worse, the defeat all-but ended Blackburn’s hopes of joining their fierce rivals in the Premier League.

For Watt and Burnley, it has been a tough return to life in the top flight having lost all three of their league fixtures so far.

Heavy defeats against Manchester City and Tottenham came either side of a 3-1 reverse against Aston Villa.

However, Vincent Kompany's side can get back to winning ways on Monday evening when Burnley visit Nottingham Forest.

Burnley will be confident of picking up their first points of the season, having already seen off Forest at the City Ground in the Carabao Cup last month.
