Jadon Sancho banished from first-team training amid suggestions he refused to apologise to Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag

Jadon Sancho has been banished from Manchester United first-team training while a 'discipline issue' is resolved.
The Red Devils winger recently hit out at manager Erik ten Hag on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Manager Ten Hag had claimed Sancho did not train well enough to be included in the squad to face Arsenal on September 2, which the 23-year-old strongly denied in a since-deleted post.
The Englishman, who signed for United in a £73million deal in 2021, arrived back at Carrington for crunch talks on Thursday.
The Athletic reports the player refused to apologise to Ten Hag in showdown talks, something Man United haven't denied.
talkSPORT understands the talks haven't gone as officials at Old Trafford had hoped or expected and now the Red Devils have confirmed he will train alone for the foreseeable future.
A brief club statement read: "Jadon Sancho will remain on a personal training programme away from the first-team group, pending resolution of a squad discipline issue."
The fallout began after comments made by Ten Hag following the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal on September 3.
When asked why Sancho wasn't even in the squad, the Dutchman said: "Jadon, on his performance in training, was not selected.
"You have to reach a level at Manchester United every day and we can make choices in the front line. So for this game he was not selected."
Sancho bit back at his manager and accused Ten Hag of making him a scapegoat.
The Man United forward said: "Please don't believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue.
"I have conducted myself in training very well this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won't go into, I have been a scapegoat for a long time which isn't fair!
"All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team.
"I respect all decisions that are made by the coaching staff, I play with fantastic players and grateful to do so which I know every week is a challenge. I will continue to fight for this badge no matter what!"
Reports suggest Ten Hag was infuriated by the social media post and the United hierarchy stepped in to cool tension between the pair.
It is not the first time Sancho undertaken a personal training programme, albeit for different reasons.
The former Borussia Dortmund star has struggled to settle at Old Trafford and spent an extended spell on the sidelines during the 2022/23 season due to physical and mental health concerns.
Sancho was sent to the Netherlands by Ten Hag, training with Dutch amateur club OJC Rosmalen, before completing an individual training programme at Carrington.
