Liverpool transfer update! Reds want Moreno, Lovren AND Lallana, claims Evans

Times football editor Tony Evans claims Liverpool are ready to splash the cash this summer and have targeted a number of top stars

The Times football editor Tony Evans claims Liverpool are ready to splash the cash this summer and have targeted a number of top stars.

The Reds have already seen a £25million bid for Southampton star Adam Lallana rejected but are expected to return with an improved offer.

And Evans believes the England winger will be playing on Merseyside next season, along with team-mate Dejan Lovren and Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno.

“Liverpool's move for Adam Lallana is going to happen," he told talkSPORT. "He will end up at Anfield, without a shadow of a doubt.

“The player wants to go, Liverpool are keen on him and Southampton want to do the deal. I’d put money on it [happening].

“I think Liverpool will spend quite a bit of money this summer, around £70m plus sales. They’re going to go for it.

“They’re going to get the lad from Sevilla, Alberto Moreno, and they like Dejan Lovren from Southampton. They're going to buy big this summer because Liverpool want to build a squad which can compete in the Champions League."
