Marcus Rashford has been named as one of Xavi's toughest opponents as a manager.

The Barcelona boss was taking part in an interview with Mundo Deportivo when he was quizzed on the players who have caused him the most problems since retiring as a player.

The Spaniard said: "With Rashford we struggled a lot. But also Vinicius, [Karim] Benzema."

The Manchester United forward was part of the side who faced Barcelona in last season's Europa League knockout stage play-off clash.

Rashford found the back of the net during a 2-2 draw at the Camp Nou, before playing his part in a 2-1 win at Old Trafford to send the Premier League side through.

Meanwhile, Benzema scored five for Real Madrid against Barcelona last term, with Vinicius Jr also scoring against them.

Despite scoring 30 goals and providing 11 assists for Man United last term, Rashford has struggled for form this term.

The 25-year-old has scored just once in eight appearances, but Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag believes in his player.

Ten Hag said after Man United's defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend: "I think he knows he can do better than he is now and I'm sure it will come.

"He works hard and it will come, but not automatically. The team has to work around him, and they have to invest a lot.

"The decision-making wasn't good enough and then we don't score."
