Shocking stats show just how record-breakingly bad Manchester United are under Erik ten Hag

It is crisis mode for Manchester United as their dreadful start to the season continues.
The Red Devils suffered an embarrassing 3-2 Champions League defeat to Galatasaray at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
That made it back-to-back defeats in Europe for Erik ten Hag, leaving them bottom of their group and a huge uphill task to qualify for the knockout stage.
It was also two defeats within three days at Old Trafford for United, having lost to Crystal Palace on Saturday in the Premier League.
Ten Hag’s side are also 10th in the Premier League after seven games, having lost four of those.
Serious questions will now be asked about the Dutchman following their start to the campaign.
However, talkSPORT understands that his job is safe for now.
Asked whether he feared for his job, he said: "Last season: brilliant, terrific, more than we could expect.
"We also knew in this project there would be common gaps. At this moment we are in a very difficult period as everyone can see but we come out together, we are fighting together, we are sticking together and we are behind each other. That is me, the directors, the team, all together we will fight.
"This is not us, we know we have to do better, with togetherness we will come out.
"If I give an explanation, then you will see as excuses, there are no excuses. We can't make the errors we are now making. We have to do better, it is a simple fact, we have to win our games."
But whatever Ten Hag says, the statistics are damning and highlight Manchester United’s woeful start to the campaign.
Champions League
Manchester United had never lost the opening two Champions League group games. The Red Devils lost 4-3 to Bayern Munich and then to Galatasaray.
Those seven goals conceded are the most they have ever conceded in their opening two Champions League group games, and they have never let in three or more in back-to-back matches.
The Bayern Munich loss was also the first time they had conceded that many in 28 years in the competition.
Turkish side Galatasaray had never won a game on English soil until Tuesday night.
Premier League
Manchester United are currently on their worst start to a season for 34 years, having taken just nine points from seven games.
The club have never lost four of their opening seven games in Premier League history.
Ten Hag also has a number of unwanted records that date back to the 1970s.
They had not conceded three or more goals in three consecutive games since 1978 and had also not lost their opening two away games since the 1973/74 season.
The Red Devils also had not conceded more than one goal in four consecutive games since 1979.
Man United had never lost at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before they suffered a 2-0 defeat there last month.
Of course, Spurs have only been at their new stadium for four years, but it's still not something Ten Hag will be pleased to have on his CV considering they'd achieved two draws and two wins there previously.
They had also not trailed by two goals in the opening four minutes of a Premier League game at Old Trafford before Nottingham Forest visited last month in Man United's eventual 3-2 win.
Last season saw Man United lose to Brighton at Old Trafford for the first time, too, and Brighton had never won successive games at Old Trafford until earlier this season.
And now, with a vote of confidence, Ten Hag will hope the only way is up.
