Real Madrid sensation Jude Bellingham has matched another record set by Cristiano Ronaldo after netting in the Champions League against Napoli.

The 20-year-old is already a fan favourite, after joining the club in a £115m deal from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

He has managed eight goals in nine appearances for Los Blancos, and continues to reap the rewards.

Having only been in the Spanish capital for a few weeks, the midfielder is already breaking records and matching milestones set by Ronaldo.

His goals against Athletic Bilbao, Almeria and Celta Vigo made him the first player since the Al Nassr star to score in each of his first three LaLiga matches for his new employers.

Bellingham then netted a 95th minute winner to ensure his side defeated Getafe 2-1 in September, therefore, reaching Ronaldo's feat of four consecutive games with a goal.

He scored in the 3-2 win over Napoli in Europe's elite competition on Tuesday, and prior to that, in the 1-0 over Union Berlin on matchday on.

In doing so, he becomes the first player to net on his first two games in the Champions League for Carlo Ancelotti's side since Ronaldo in 2009.

Bellingham has since been hailed as the 'best player in the world' by Owen Hargreaves, after yet another stunning display.

“He’s the best player in the world right now, on current form,” said former Manchester United and Bayern Munich midfielder on TNT Sports.

“I know it’s only early doors, but we just heard the numbers...nine games, eight goals, three assists.

"He’s not even playing his position. He’s not a No. 10 and he’s scoring goals like a No. 9, replacing [Karim] Benzema.

“The thing about Jude is, as good as he is, his ability to take a step up. Birmingham, [Borussia] Dortmund and now Real Madrid. He takes it in his stride and he gets better. It’s remarkable what he’s doing.”

Bellingham is back in action when Real Madrid take on Osasuna in LaLiga on Sunday at the Santiago Bernabeu.
