Transfer blow for Man United! German stars ‘very unlikely’ to make Red Devils switch

Bundesliga expert Mark Lovell claims it's 'very unlikely' any of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Thomas Muller and Mats Hummels will join Manchester United this summer.

New Old Trafford boss Louis van Gaal has targeted the German trio but Lovell believes the Dutchman will have to look elsewhere to improve this squad.

“Man United reportedly have around £200million to spend this summer,” he told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show. “It’s very doubtful Bastian Schweinsteiger, Thomas Muller and Mats Hummels will go to United though.

“Man United’s main problem is their defence. Van Gaal wil be looking at Hummels but Borussia Dortmund have lost a lot of players recently. They need to hold on to the likes of Hummels because he’s a brilliant defender.”
