Forget Moreno and sign Blind! Liverpool fans urge Rodgers to move for Dutch star

Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben may have scored twice in the Netherlands' dismantling of Spain in their World Cup opener but, for many, the real star of the show was Daley Blind.

The Ajax ace, son of Dutch legend Danny Blind, showed incredible energy as he continually attacked down the left, while also managing to keep Cesar Azpilicueta in check.

He also produced two brilliant assists to help his side get their campaign off to a remarkable start against the holders.

And Liverpool fans took to Twitter to urge Brendan Rodgers to make a move for the 24-year-old.

The Reds are in the market for a left-back and have held extensive talks with Sevilla about their £16million-rated star Alberto Moreno, but Anfield supporters reckon Blind is a better option.
