Jurgen Klopp was visibly enraged as his post-match press conference was drowned out by Toulouse's celebrations.

The Liverpool boss spoke to the media after his side fell to a 3-2 defeat in the Europa League away at the French outfit.

Toulouse's victory was their second in Group E and keeps them just two points behind the Reds with as many games left remaining.

Klopp's side were also denied a late equaliser as Jarell Quansah's goal was chalked off for an Alexis Mac Allister handball earlier in the play.

And it's clear that the German wasn't in the best of spirits when he spoke to the media after his side's first European defeat this season.

"We have to be better in these moments, 100 per cent, and that's it," he said when analysing their team's performance.

Toulouse celebrations were very much audible in the background, with the noise certainly in close proximity to Klopp.

"And who had the idea to do the press conference here? That would be a really interesting question. Wow," he said with visible anger.

Loud bangs, chants and claps almost seemed to reverberate around the room, with Klopp left wondering what was going on.

He then sighed and covered his face for a brief second, with the noisy celebrations showing little sign of stopping.

Liverpool's performance away at the side who sit 14th in Ligue 1 was arguably one of their worst of the season.

Toulouse opened the scoring when Aron Donnum made the most of a lapse in concentration from Kostas Tsimikas and fired in.

Their lead was doubled through Thijs Dallinga's low finish before an own-goal from Cristian Casseres Jr. pulled one back for Liverpool.

However, their one-goal deficit was extended back to two just three minutes later thanks to Frank Magri and his close-range strike.

Diogo Jota then made it 3-2 before Quansah thought he scored a late equaliser in stoppage-time, only for VAR to rule it out.
