Rafael Leao may have to brush up on Scouse accent after hilarious Jamie Carragher exchange as Liverpool linked with interest

Rafael Leao is reportedly being eyed by Liverpool but, after a previous exchange with Jamie Carragher, he may need to brush up on his Scouse if he was to move to Merseyside.
The AC Milan winger has been on the radar of top European sides for a while amid a series of impressive performances at the San Siro, and now the Reds are said to have joined the race.
Leao scored 16 goals and assisted a further 15 last season as I Rossoneri reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.
He was man of the match in their second-leg draw against fellow Serie A side Napoli in the last eight and joined the CBS Sports team live via video link after the match to discuss their aggregate victory.
Host Kate Abdo asked questions and Thierry Henry even spoke to him in French, with Liverpool legend Carragher also keen to quiz the Portuguese star.
However, their interaction didn't quite go to plan when the Liverpool legend said: "Rafael, obviously the big rival of yours, Inter Milan, are in the other semi-final. Would you like that, with your biggest rival in the semi-final?"
Leao, looking visibly confused at what the Bootle-born Liverpool legend has just said, replied: "I didn't understand. Can you repeat please?"
Carragher responded with a laugh: "They have the same problem in the studio!"
He then added: "Inter Milan are playing tomorrow... Inter-nazion-ale. Would you like to play them in the semi-final?"
His attempt at an Italian pronunciation sparked laughter from Abdo, Henry and a hysterical co-pundit Micah Richards, who had tears streaming down his face, with Leao again having no clue what was going on.
He could be set to get used to Carragher's accent, though as Liverpool eye a potential move for his signature.
Journalist has reported the Reds believe the 24-year-old is the 'perfect heir' to Sadio Mane, who left in 2022.
The report also claims Liverpool could also look to offer Luis Diaz and cash to Milan for Leao, who is regarded as one of the best wingers in Europe.
Although it's unlikely Reds fans would approve of that deal, with the 26-year-old Colombian one of the most popular stars at the club.
Should the Reds move ahead with an offer for Leao, though, a transfer to Anfield would see him join an already star-studded attack that has proved so key for Klopp's side this season.
