Watford snub Burnley bid for star striker

Watford have snubbed Burnley's bid for star striker Troy Deeney.

The Premier League new boys are desperate to add more firepower before the season kicks off next month.

And manager Sean Dyche, the former Watford boss, had set his sights on Deeney who has hit 45 goals in 91 appearances over the past two seasons.

But according to reports, the Hornets have turned their nose up at Burnley's initial approach, with interest from West Brom, Aston Villa and Swansea set to spark a bidding war.
