Four Premier League clubs have fought over Timo Werner but ex-Chelsea star has much to prove at Tottenham

Two Premier League giants go head to head over Timo Werner, one side looks set to win the race - we have been here before.
Tottenham have agreed a deal with RB Leipzig to loan Werner for the rest of the season with an option to buy in the summer.
talkSPORT understands that Werner has been given permission to fly to London while the buy option is worth £15million.
It will see the Germany international return to the Premier League just 18 months after leaving Chelsea following two years at the club.
And it will be yet another missed opportunity for Manchester United, who were keen on signing the 27-year-old to bolster their attacking ranks.
But just like in 2020 when Chelsea beat Liverpool to his signature, question marks will arise over how well can Werner deal with life in the Premier League.
Indeed, going off his stats at Stamford Bridge, there will be puzzled looks over why Tottenham have decided to go in for the forward.
In 56 appearances in the Premier League, Werner scored just 10 times for Chelsea while he netted 23 in total, across 89 matches in all competitions.
As well as a low-goal tally, there were some painful moments in front of goal where his finishing ability let him down - including one shocker where he actually cleared the ball off the line for Leeds United.
However, his personal stats do not paint the whole story and his debut year with the Blues saw them win the Champions League.
In a side that was not famed for its goalscoring prowess, his season tally of 12 was the joint-most at the club that campaign.
While the German did not score many, he also had an incredible amount of goals ruled out for various decisions including offside, fouls in the build-up and handball - 16 in total across two years.
He also finished the year with the most assists for the club (eight) while he quickly adorned himself to the Stamford Bridge crowd for his tenacity.
Werner earned the nickname 'Turbo' with his rapid pace, constantly harrying defenders and causing a nuisance up the pitch.
This is exactly what Ange Postecoglou wants from his forwards, who are depleted with Heung-min Son away with South Korea at the Asia Cup this month.
And if Postecoglou can land the player that Chelsea and Liverpool fought over, then they will have added some serious firepower.
In 2019/20, Werner scored 34 times in 45 appearances for RB Leipzig which saw Jurgen Klopp fall in love.
However, Chelsea swooped in and snapped him up under Liverpool's noses, who went and signed Diogo Jota instead, but there is a sense of 'what if?' had he moved to Anfield, where their forwards usually have more joy.
Now Werner has found himself in a similar situation but has chosen Tottenham over United - time will tell if it was the right move or not.
