Chelsea transfer report: Roma pull out of Cesc Fabregas January swoop

Roma have pulled the plug on a move for Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

The Italian club have been tracking the Spaniard since the summer after doubts emerged about his future.

Fabregas had initially struggled to break into Antonio Conte's first team this season, but he has come back into the fold in recent weeks.??

And, according to Sky Italia, that has hit Roma's hopes of signing the former Arsenal man and they will now look elsewhere.

The Italian club had been hoping they could land the 29-year-old on loan for the rest of the season by offering him more first-team football.

But, now he is back in Conte's plans, the Spain international is reportedly no longer itching for a move away.
