West Ham United and Southampton lead Marseille in race for Granada defender Molla Wague

Southampton and West Ham United are interested in signing Granada defender Molla Wague.

The 25-year-old has been on loan at Udinese since 2014 and has impressed in Serie A.

It has led to the Malian being linked with a move to France, where Marseille are reportedly preparing to make a January approach.

However, according to TMW, the Premier League duo are trying to lure Wague to England instead.

The two clubs are said to be favourites to sign the centre-back ahead of the Ligue 1 outfit, due to their financial power.

But, given the fact Wague is currently in Italy on a temporary basis, Granada would prefer any deal to be done in the summer.
