Casemiro's reaction after Matty Cash's dive led to a yellow card for him will no doubt get played back on the internet for some time to come.

The Manchester United midfielder received a caution from referee Robert Jones after a challenge on Aston Villa defender Cash, however, replays suggest Casemiro was very hard done by with the Poland international falling to the floor despite there being no contact.

His reaction was a sight to behold though

Casemiro was the definition of disbelief as he looked to all four corners of Villa Park after being on the end of the injustice.

talkSPORT presenter and diehard Man United fan Mark Goldbridge said: "Casemiro booked for not touching Cash. Cash not booked for stamping on Casemiro's foot late. Make it make sense."

But other fans managed to see the funny side of things, with this one saying: "Safe to say this from Casemiro is going to become a meme isn’t it [crying laughter emoji]."

Another said: "Casemiro’s reaction to his yellow card [crying laughter emoji]."

Another fan added: "Proper meme material this — Casemiro [crying laughter emoji]."

While this fan said: "Casemiro’s reaction to being booked was priceless."

While Casemiro was down on his luck, his teammate Bruno Fernandes was perhaps fortunate to escape a caution for a late challenge on Villa winger Leon Bailey later in the first half.

Man United went in at half time a goal to the good thanks to Rasmus Hojlund's finish from close range after Harry Maguire headed the ball to him from a corner.

However, Douglas Luiz equalised for Villa after a bit of pinball in the box before pulling out a bizarre shimmy celebration in front of Andre Onana.

The three points went back to Old Trafford though with a bullet header by Scott McTominay putting them 2-1 up on 86 minutes.

Both sides have high aims to finish in the top four this season with Unai Emery's men in the midst of a brilliant campaign while Erik ten Hag has come under pressure.
