Crystal Palace next manager odds: McKenna 1/1 as pressure mounts on Hodgson

It's not going too well for Crystal Palace at the moment and with a fair few losses this season, they're in contention for a relegation battle.

As a result, talkSPORT BET have priced up who could replace Roy Hodgson as manager should the results continue to not go their way and he leaves the club - Kieran McKenna, Ipswich Town manager is as short as 1/1 to takeover.

Ipswich Town were promoted to the Championship under McKenna last season after they won 28 games and only lost four in League One.

Only missing out on being champions by three points to Plymouth Argyle, but they've continued their success under the Northern Irishman, and are even challenging for successive promotions and aiming for the Premier League.

He's the top contender to replace Hodgson at Crystal Palace, who's had a tough time recently with getting results but the blame doesn't fall completely on his shoulders with the plethora of injuries they've faced to their star players.

Both Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze haven't consistently been available, especially together, and they make a distinct impact on games when they're on the same pitch.

They've once again got injuries and Hodgson has been forced to use a variety of midfielders in their place.

Joel Ward has also been out of action since picking up an injury against Man City in gameweek 17, while Rob Holding has missed the whole season with a long-term ankle injury.

Regardless of that though, many clubs still part ways with managers in an attempt to get that infamous new manager bounce, which Palace need if they're to keep out of the relegation battle.

Current Nottingham Forest manager is in the list as short as 4/1 but has been shown faith by his club after keeping them in the Premier League last season despite the close call with a fraught relegation battle.

Parker, who has managed Fulham and Bournemouth in the Premier League is among the top contenders to head to Palace, as he is without a club after being let go from Club Brugge last year.
