Decision made over Jude Bellingham case following alleged Mason Greenwood slur

Jude Bellingham will not face any punishment for an alleged slur aimed at Manchester United loanee Mason Greenwood.
It was claimed Real Madrid and England star Bellingham was potentially facing a ten-game ban after an incident with Greenwood was caught on camera during a game against Getafe.
The exchange was captured by TV cameras during Real's 2-0 win over their Madrid-based rivals last month, following a tackle from Bellingham on Greenwood.
The footage went viral on social media, with many fans accusing Bellingham of making an allegedly offensive comment towards the on-loan Getafe striker.
It was claimed the comment was in relation to his suspension at Old Trafford.
Greenwood was arrested and charged with attempted rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm in 2022.
However, those charges were dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service last February 2023 and, while Man United said he would have to continue his career away from the club, the player returned to action this season by moving to Spain.
Spain’s football federation [RFEF] launched an investigation into the scenes after a complaint from Getafe, and even hired a lip-reading expert to offer their verdict on what was said.
And the Spanish FA have now confirmed there is no credible evidence of what Bellingham is alleged to have said towards Greenwood.
The case has therefore been dismissed, with no action taken against the 20-year-old.
It is understood that Greenwood himself did not want the matter to escalate, as he looks to rebuild his career in Spain.
It is said Real Madrid were surprised LaLiga went to the extent of getting the Spanish football federation involved following Getafe's complaint.
Greenwood, 22, has become a key player for Getafe since his arrival on loan in the summer, with a record of eight goals and five assists in 26 games helping the club to 11th in the table.
talkSPORT understands Greenwood's performances have led to Barcelona keeping tabs on the forward, with Atletico Madrid and interested and Getafe keen to sign him permanently.
