Cristiano Ronaldo was furious during Al-Nassr's Saudi Pro League clash against Al-Ahli after water balloons were thrown at his teammates.

The incident happened after Ronaldo scored his 23rd goal of the season from the penalty spot to seal a 1-0 win.

As the Al-Nassr players celebrated in front of the home crowd, water balloons started raining down from the stands.

The first one hit Otavio in the face and sent him tumbling to the ground.

Ronaldo responded by looking at the crowd with his arms raised, along with several of his teammates.

This seemed to annoy the Al-Ahli fans even more, as they started shouting 'Messi, Messi, Messi' and launched another couple of balloons.

Former Manchester United man Alex Telles tried to throw a broken one back and saw the thrown object land right at his feet.

His teammate Ronaldo tried to settle the crowd down with a few hand gestures before he walked away.

His teammates remained to protest at the home crowd, and they were joined by some Al-Ahli players, who managed to convince their supporters to stop.

Otavio was good to carry on after a bit of attention, with Al-Nassr securing the win to move up to second place in the league.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opens up about how Cristiano Ronaldo's second term at Manchester United was not the 'right decision' at the time

However, this isn't the first time Ronaldo has been involved in an incident with opposition fans.

He served a one-match ban earlier this year after making a crude message towards supporters, again after chants of 'Messi, Messi, Messi' were sent his way.

So it was probably sensible that he decided to walk away from this one before it got any worse.
