Dutch star insists he has not spoken to QPR over Premier League move

QPR boss Harry Redknapp has not yet made a move for Rafael van der Vaart - despite declaring an interest in the Dutch midfielder last week

QPR boss Harry Redknapp has not yet made a move for Rafael van der Vaart - despite declaring an interest in the Dutch midfielder last week.

The Rangers manager wants two midfielders and a playmaker added to his squad before the season starts on August 16, and he is a big admirer of the Hamburg man after signing him at Tottenham.

"Harry Redknapp has not been in touch with me. He has not phoned me," Van der Vaart told BILD.

"In football you never know, but so far we have not been in touch.

"Harry Redknapp and I enjoyed a really great relationship back at Tottenham. He is a top-quality manager.

"I was in great form back then. I scored 12 [Premier League] goals in one season and I netted 13 in the other season."
