‘Phenomenal s***housery’ – Paulo Dybala taunts ex-Arsenal star Matteo Guendouzi in tense Rome derby altercation

Matteo Guendouzi was up to his old tricks again as he clashed with Paulo Dybala - who had the perfect response to him.

The ex-Arsenal midfielder was unable to inspire Lazio to victory as they lost 1-0 to Roma in the Rome derby on Saturday.

Gianluca Mancini scored the only goal of the game in the 42nd minute, but it was a flashpoint midway through the second half that saw the match almost descend into chaos.

Guendouzi was seen with his hand around Dybala's face, with cameras catching him pressing his thumb into the ex-Juventus forward's cheek.

Dybala, who was part of Argentina's World Cup-winning squad in 2022, refused to react to the Frenchman's aggression.

Instead, he took off his shinpad which shows himself lifting the famous trophy - at the expense of Guendouzi's Les Bleus.

And following the full-time whistle, Dybala then celebrated in the face of the 24-year-old, who notably grabbed Neal Maupay by the throat during his Gunners days.

Fans were loving Dybala's shinpad shenanigans on social media, as one X user said: "Dybala you legend."

Another commented: "S***housery of the finest quality against a seasoned s***houser in Guendouzi. 10-7 Dybala."

A third added: "That's how to shut a player up."

This fan then messaged: "Dybala really showed him levels."

Meanwhile one simply stated: "Phenomenal s***housery."

Roma's victory has seen them close the gap on fourth-placed Bologna to two points.

But in better news for the Giallorossi, the Rome derby saw the return of striker Tammy Abraham from the bench.

It was the England international's first appearance of the season having suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury ten months ago.
