‘The future is bright for Everton’, Leon Osman tells talkSPORT after Manchester City mauling

Leon Osman believes Everton are set for an exciting future under Ronald Koeman.
The Toffees thrashed Manchester City 4-0 on Sunday at Goodison Park with a trio of teenagers playing a key part in the win.
Midfielder Tom Davies, 18, capped a man of the match performance with a brilliant goal, 20-year-old defender Mason Holgate was outstanding at the back and 19-year-old forward Ademola Lookman came off the bench to net on his debut..
According to Osman, there are plenty more young players showing huge potential for the Under-23s under David Unsworth and he is predicting great things to come at the club.
Osman, who made 432 appearances for Everton in a 16-year career at the club, told talkSPORT: "Everton have always been a club that brings young talent through and gives kids an opportunity.
"They have bought in Lookman and given him his opportunity. Holgate and Davies played and Davies is rightly getting the plaudits but I thought Holgate was just as good on the day. He was easily the best defender on the pitch, for both teams.
“You look around the team now and apart from Ashley Williams, who Ronald Koeman brought in, and Leighton Baines everyone else is pretty much under 25 or so.
“The future is bright for Everton, especially once these young men have got 50, 100 games under their belt.
"You have got the lads who we have mentioned and you have also got Jonjoe Kenny and Callum Connolly, who are just underneath at the moment, so they are not the only ones.
"What David Unsworth is doing at the moment with that [Under-23] squad is really good."
