Forgotten Premier League player searching for new club on LinkedIn after leaving Spanish fifth division

Steven Caulker's career has taken some surprising turns in the years since he rose through the youth ranks at Tottenham.
But even after spending three years playing in Turkey, having previously scored on his England debut and lined up for Liverpool and QPR, Caulker's latest news may be his biggest shock yet.
The 32-year-old has taken to job-hunting platform LinkedIn to reveal that he is on the lookout for a new club, after coming to the end of his time at Spanish fifth tier side Malaga City.
Caulker had joined as player-manager at the start of the year, and stated his intention to continue pursuing his coaching ambitions, whilst still playing, in his next chapter.
He wrote in a post on the site: "LinkedIn family, please work your magic...
"I am looking for a new team ahead of the 2024/2025 season. Preferably as a coach, but I am still open to playing.
"Whilst I am looking for a suitable option, I am keeping myself busy with 1-2-1 coaching, mentoring, and public speaking."
The former Spurs man also attached a picture of him shaking hands with former England manager Roy Hodgson, who gave the defender his one and only senior international call-up in 2012.
Caulker was not short of replies to his post, with suggestions as to where he could go next ranging from the Australian top-flight, to the Indian Super League, and even Cornish 10th-tier side Bude Town.
And given the ex Swansea City centre-back has already travelled far and wide to play the game, it is likely he will consider all of these possibilities.
After making 123 Premier League appearances, including spells at South Wales rivals Cardiff and Swansea, as well as Liverpool and Southampton, Caulker moved north to Scottish Premiership side Dundee in 2018.
This marked the beginning of a five-year spell away from England, with a move to Turkish Super Lig club Alanyaspor following in 2019.
The former Three Lions man went on to play for three more sides in the country, including giants Fenerbahce, as well as switching international allegiances to make his Sierra Leone debut in 2022.
Having only returned to the UK for a short stay with Wigan Athletic in 2023, before heading abroad again to join Malaga, Caulker's next move is likely to be as unpredictable as the rest of his career so far.
