Toni Kroos’ teammate posts explicit two-word reaction to Real Madrid star’s retirement

Real Madrid star Lucas Vazquez provided a rather different reaction to the news of Toni Kroos’ retirement this summer.
The German will bow out of football after Euro 2024 in his home country having enjoyed a glittering career spanning 17 years.
In that time, the 34-year-old has represented just three clubs but has left an indelible mark during his stints in the Bundesliga and more recently LaLiga.
Successful spells with Bayern Munich and a loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen were followed by a trophy-laden decade at Real Madrid.
Kroos is famed for his calm but silky approach and formed part of Madrid’s deadly trio along Luka Modric and Casemiro that went on to win the three-consecutive Champions League titles.
His performances this season suggest he is still very much at the peak of his powers having played a key role in Real Madrid’s title triumph and their run to another Champions League final.
News of his impending retirement has seen a host of current and former teammates pay tribute to him across various social media channels.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos have led the tributes for Kroos whilst Gareth Bale, Aurelien Tchouameni and Vinicius Jr also weighed in with their own words of appreciation.
However, current teammate Vazquez opted for an alternate way of showing his admiration.
Kroos’ announcement earlier on Tuesday became a top trend on X, prompting the German to post: “I’m trending at least?”
But in a bizarre turn of events, Vazquez responded with the words ‘F*** You’ followed by four middle-finger emojis.
Whilst it wasn’t exactly the conventional tribute post, it is likely the Spaniard was doing it all in good faith.
It’s business as usual for Kroos who can finish his career in style with a sixth career Champions League medal if Madrid overcome Borussia Dortmund at Wembley on June 1.
Kroos is already a World Cup winner with Germany but a triumphant Euro 2024 campaign in his homeland this summer could be the pinnacle of all of his career accomplishments.
