What does Phil Foden’s tattoo say? England star has poignant message inked on his neck

Phil Foden truly arrived at Euro 2024 as he helped send England to the final, but it's not just his skills that have got fans talking.
The Manchester City star struggled at the start of England's campaign in Germany but looked unstoppable against the Netherlands after enjoying the best individual season of his career.
Foden scooped the Premier League Player of the Year award by helping City to an unprecedented fourth successive league title last term.
The 23-year-old netted 27 times across all competitions including two goals in a title-winning victory over West Ham.
Foden has also become something of a fashion symbol as his rise to the top continues, memorably making headlines at Euro 2020 for his Paul Gascogine-inspired hair.
While the attacking midfielder has kept things more low-key in Germany, his visible neck tattoos are still hard to miss.
Foden has two distinctive pieces of ink on his neck, the most prominent of which reads – ‘Sky is the limit.’
The England international had the tattoo done in February 2022 by popular artist, Gabriel Maniak.
The sentimental message means that there is no limit to what can be achieved in the pursuit of success and that anything is possible.
This has certainly been true for Foden's career, with the attacker lifting a sixth Premier League title for himself in just seven years.
The 'Stockport Iniesta' added to his tattoo collection in 2023, after getting his iconic shirt number '47' inked below his ear.
The number 47 was Foden's first shirt at City and he has worn it since his debut for the Citizens in 2017.
It also has a poignant connection to his family roots, with his late grandfather Ronnie, passing away when he was just 47.
Foden previously revealed that he rejected the chance to take Sergio Aguero's No.10 shirt at City following the Argentine's exit.
His latest neck tattoo suggests he has no plans to ever leave the 47.
For England, he doesn't wear the number, but he'll be hoping the sky's the limit this weekend when the Three Lions take on Spain looking to win their first international title since 1966.
