Premier League opening weekend fixtures and kick-off times: Slot’s Liverpool start against Ipswich as Maresca’s Chelsea face Man City

Kieran McKenna's Ipswich face the post-Jurgen Klopp Liverpool on the opening weekend of the new Premier League season, and it will be live on talkSPORT.
The newly-promoted side are back in the top tier for the first time in 22 years and will welcome the Merseyside giants - with new manager Arne Slot - to Portman Road this Saturday lunchtime.
Manchester United begin the season on the Friday before as they take on Fulham at Old Trafford.
Last season's runners-up Arsenal start at home against Wolves on Saturday at 3pm, with Aston Villa, in their debut season in the Champions League, travelling to West Ham in the evening for the first 5:30pm kick-off of the term.
And new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca hosts Manchester City on Sunday in his first competitive game since replacing Mauricio Pochettino.
It will be a reunion for the two given Maresca was formerly Pep Guardiola's assistant. Maresca left his role at City to join Leicester in 2023 just days after winning the Champions League.
He guided the Foxes back into the Premier League before leaving earlier this summer to become Chelsea manager.

Elsewhere, newly-promoted Southampton begin their season back in the big time by travelling to Newcastle, Everton start their campaign against Brighton and Brentford host Crystal Palace.
Leicester will host Tottenham in the first Monday Night Football of the season, and that will also be exclusively live on talkSPORT.
To address the congested schedule across Christmas and New Year, arrangements will be made to allow more rest time over three of the festive match rounds. No club will play within 60 hours of another match and there will be no fixture on 24 December.
The mid-season break has also been removed from the calendar to allow a mid-August start date for the Premier League, with the final day of the season being May 25, 2025.
Chelsea and Man United are something of opening day specialists having won 62.5 per cent of their first games (P33, W20). Guardiola, though, has won 87.5 per cent of his opening day games, with Spurs the only team to beat him.
Slot will hope to still have Mohamed Salah in his side given that he has scored in six of his last seven openers for Liverpool and Leicester striker Jamie Vardy has seven goals across his games on the first day of the season.
Only Salah, Frank Lampard, Alan Shearer and Wayne Rooney have scored eight.
