REVEALED! Hull City sent ‘incomplete’ documents in botched attempt to sign striker on deadline day

Hull City have been accused of sending 'incomplete documents' in a botched deadline day move for Guingamp striker Yannis Salibur.

The relegation-threatened Premier League club failed in a late bid for the 26-year-old French frontman, as they attempted to reinforce their attacking options in time for the relegation run-in.

And now Guingamp president Bertrand Desplat has had his say on the situation - and lays the blame squarely on the Tigers.

Salibur, who has scored five times in 21 Ligue 1 outings this term, had looked set to join Hull but Desplat says a 'lack of coolness' ruined the deal.

He told L'Equipe: "We forwarded all the documents at 11:57pm and Hull at 11:59pm, but incomplete.

"Perhaps there there was a lack of coolness on their side. After that, schedules are schedules.

"If you have minor differences between what is required and what is sent, it can be corrected the next day with FIFA. It depends on how incomplete it is."
