Manchester United strike £43m deal for Bayern Munich star Matthijs de Ligt

Manchester United have agreed a £43million deal with Bayern Munich for Matthijs de Ligt, talkSPORT understands.
United will pay around £38.5million (€45m) initially, with the rest coming in add-ons.
De Ligt will still need to undergo a medical before the move becomes official, but will pen a five-year deal with the option of another year.
The Netherlands centre-back previously played under Erik ten Hag at Ajax, before joining Juventus and subsequently Bayern.
Ten Hag addressed a move for De Ligt earlier this summer, telling : ''We still have to wait and see whether De Ligt will come.
“But the good thing is, during my vacation I was out of the process for three or four weeks.
"During that period it was really the club, the newly established scouting and recruitment department, that brought in these players.
“The fact that there are also Dutch players among them is actually a coincidence. Primarily these were players who were brought in by our organisation.
"But of course I support them, let that be clear – and we still make the choice together.”
United have already signed Leny Yoro from Lille for around £52m, but he will miss the start of the season through injury.
Next on Man United’s list is Bayern full-back Noussair Mazraoui, but that is dependent on Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s departure.
The Red Devils have agreed a £15m fee with West Ham, but negotiations are still ongoing over a pay-off between Wan-Bissaka and United.
He is likely to have a medical at the London club on Sunday or Monday.
The England U21 international moved to Old Trafford in 2019 from Crystal Place in a deal worth £50m.
Since then, he has made 190 appearances for United - winning the League Cup and FA Cup.
But has fallen down the pecking order with Diego Dalot the current first choice under Erik ten Hag.
Wan-Bissaka was limited to just 22 Premier League appearances last term.
