Erling Haaland is most people's pick for the Premier League's Golden Boot.

But at £15m maybe he shouldn't be the main pick for your Fantasy Premier League (FPL) team.

Last season, after a couple of injuries, he only managed 217 points.

That left him 11 points behind Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins as the FPL's top-scoring forward.

Now, costing an extra £1m, it might just be the time to consider some new options in your squad with the possibility you don't pick Haaland at all.

But, if you do take a punt on the Norwegian getting back to his goal-bothering best, you're going to need some budget forwards to balance your 15-man group.

Luckily, this season there are some decent players in an excellent price range that will help you in your quest for glory.

And here marvelbet369.com have got four top tips for a bargain star forward.

Joao Pedro (£5.5m)

  • Current Club: Brighton
  • Last Season’s FPL Points: 104
  • Opening Fixtures: Everton (A), Manchester United (H), Arsenal (A)

Brighton are a bit of an unknown entity under their new manager Fabian Hurzeler but Pedro is earning rave reviews.

James Milner told talkSPORT he's excited about the prospect of seeing the Brazilian in action ahead of hiim.

He's improving season-on-season and if he remains injury-free he could be a real steal - especially as he also takes penalties.

Rodrigo Muniz (£6.0m)

  • Current Club: Fulham
  • Last Season’s FPL Points: 97
  • Opening Fixtures: Manchester United (A), Leicester (H), Ipswich (A)

Another Brazilian forward, Muniz was on form at the end of last season.

His spell of eight goals in eight games from February onwards left Premier League rivals stunned.

If he can be a consistent threat this season, his figures could go through the roof.

Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.0m)

  • Current Club: Crystal Palace
  • Last Season’s FPL Points: 165
  • Opening Fixtures: Brentford (A), West Ham (H), Chelsea (A)

Mateta was absolutely exceptional after Glasner's arrival last season.

He hit 14 Premier League goals from February onwards in a stunning scoring spree.

That earned him a spot at the Olympics with France where he scored five in five as he won a silver medal - not bad form to start the season.

Dominic Solanke (£7.5m)

  • Current Club: Tottenham
  • Last Season’s FPL Points: 175
  • Opening Fixtures: Leicester (A), Everton (H), Newcastle (A)

The England international finally fulfilled the potential both Chelsea and Liverpool invested in during his youth.
