Chelsea could be handed deadline day lifeline with Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney Saudi Pro League twist

Chelsea could still be handed a deadline day lifeline despite Al Ahli agreeing deals for BOTH Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney.
The Blues had been in talks to sign Victor Osimhen or Ivan Toney to bolster their attack.
No significant breakthroughs had been made on either deal at Stamford Bridge - allowing the Saudi club to swoop in.
Now Al Ahli have agreed deals with both Osimhen AND Toney.
The Saudi Pro League club have agreed a £67.3m with Napoli for Osimhen and £40m with Brentford for Toney.
Both players are set to undergo medicals ahead of a proposed move.

However, talkSPORT understands that Al Ahli CANNOT sign both players as it stands despite deals being agreed.
The club do not have two slots available to sign foreign players with Roger Ibanez, Riyad Mahrez, Roberto Firmino, Edouard Mendy, Gabri Veiga, Merih Demiral and Franck Kessie all in their squad.
This means they have room for just one of Osimhen or Toney - not both unless one of those players leaves.
Whomever Al Ahli do decide to sign means that it could hand a deadline day lifeline to Chelsea.

It could open the door to the Blues to negotiate for one of those players, or the Saudi Pro League could in theory allocate one to another club.
The Saudi transfer window does not close until Monday, so there would still be time to offload one of those players.
Whichever player Al Ahli sign means they will boast a pretty frightening attack this season.
Either Osimhen or Toney will be paired with Mahrez and Firmino to form a deadly front three.
For now, it will be a waiting game for Chelsea to see which one will sign for Al Ahli.
Romelu Lukaku has already headed to Napoli as a replacement for Osimhen, so he is likely to leave before the window shuts.
Toney, who was left out of the Brentford squad for their opening two Premier League games.
Despite him having just a year left on his contract, the Bees have been holding out for around £50m all summer.
They have dropped that in recent days with a £40m offer accepted by Al Ahli.
