Torres return to Atletico Madrid ruled out by Simeone

Chelsea striker Fernando Torres will never make a return to his boyhood club Atletico Madrid so long as Diego Simeone is at the helm, according to the Spanish club's director general.
The 30-year-old forward is currently in the first season of his two-year loan deal at AC Milan which he signed in the summer, having been deemed surplus to requirements by Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.
The Spain international has endured a slow start to life in Serie A and it is not certain whether Torres will join the San Siro side on a permanent deal when his loan deal expires.
Torres' Chelsea contract is up in 2016, and if Milan choose not to retain his services, a dream return to Atletico, the club where he spent 12 successful years, could be a possibility.
However, the club's director general, Miguel Angel Gil Marin, has revealed current boss Simeone did not want to sign Torres and there is no chance of a return whilst he is still at the Vicente Calderon.
He said: "We studied the option of a return for Fernando Torres when he was at Chelsea this past summer, but coach Simeone decided against the move. That negotiation did not progress and he is now in Milan."
