Transfer news: Inter Milan forward Gabriel Barbosa’s agent quashes Arsenal and Liverpool transfer talk

Arsenal and Liverpool target Gabriel Barbosa is 'happy in Milan' and will 'fight' to make his mark with Inter, according to his agent.

The forward has endured a miserable time since joining Inter last summer from Santos and he is still yet to start a league match for the club.

Before moving to the San Siro for around £20m the Brazilian was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, while more recently he was earmarked as a January transfer target for Liverpool as part of a loan deal.

But, with speculation growing that Barbosa will finally leave Inter this summer, his agent - Wagner Ribeiro - has insisted his client will stay and fight for his place.

"Gabriel is an Inter player," Ribeiro told Tuttomercatoweb.

"When we chose this club we signed a contract until 2021, and there were no specific clauses included guaranteeing obligatory minutes, let alone a starting spot.

"He's happy in Milan, he'll fight for more space."
