‘Arsenal will be in real trouble if Sanchez and Ozil leave’, Gunners legend David Seaman tells talkSPORT

Arsenal legend David Seaman has told the club they can’t afford to go back to old ways and allow their best players to leave, with the futures of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil still uncertain.
The Gunners’ star duo are yet to commit to new contracts at the Emirates Stadium and are widely expected to leave in the summer transfer window.
Sanchez is reportedly being targeted by Premier League rivals Chelsea, and put the Blues on red alert by admitting on Wednesday that he is keen to stay put in London, but only “with a team that is winning things”.

Meanwhile, Ozil admitted to the German press this week that his family are eager for him to leave the Emirates, with the likes of Bayern Munich, Fenerbahce and Manchester United thought to be monitoring the playmaker.
Arsenal have blundered by allowing their top stars to leave to rivals sides in the past, and Seaman has told talkSPORT they can’t afford to go down the same route again, insisting it is ‘vitally important’ they keep their best players.
Asked about Sanchez’s comments to Chilean media, the former England goalkeeper told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast: “The good thing is that he said he is happy at Arsenal, but by saying the words he has used he’s leaving his options open.
“It’s vitally important Arsenal keep Sanchez. He’s their best player and if you start going down that road again of losing your best players then we’ll be in real trouble.
“Ozil is another player Arsenal can’t afford to lose. We can’t afford to be losing players like that. The sooner it all gets sorted out, the better it will be for Arsenal and the fans.
“It needs sorting out. We need to know whether Sanchez and Ozil are going to stay and sign new contracts or not. At the moment the frustration is that it’s all up in the air.”
