Liverpool transfer update: AC Milan ready to push ahead with summer move for Daniel Sturridge

AC Milan are ready to push ahead with a move for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge after their new Chinese owners completed their takeover.

The Rossoneri Sport Investment Lux rubber stamped a complex £630million deal to buy the Italian giants on Thursday after intense negotiations which lasted for months.

And after taking control of the club, the Chinese consortium is now looking to push ahead with some serious spending this summer.

Top of their list, according to Calciomercato, is Sturridge as they want to bring in a striker to lead the line for them next season.

Milan believe the England international could be bought on the cheap as the 27-year-old has fallen out of favour under Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.

Milan are also reportedly looking at Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette and Alvaro Morata of Real Madrid.
