Newcastle United will be without top scorer Dwight Gayle when they host Leeds in the Sky Bet Championship.

The 22-goal forward limped off in Saturday's defeat at Sheffield Wednesday with a hamstring problem, although boss Rafa Benitez says it is not as bad as first feared.

Defender Ciaran Clark will also be absent for the Magpies, who will be hoping to bounce back from their defeat at Hillsborough.

Second-placed Newcastle currently have a 10-point gap over Huddersfield, who have a game in-hand, and they will be hoping to keep the pressure on Brighton with victory over Garry Monk's side.
