January was a brilliant month, but one of our favourite spots of the new year was an image of a Man United fan explaining why he was ditching the struggling Red Devils in order to support his ‘boyhood team of Liverpool’. Elsewhere that month, Arsenal star Lukas Podolski was pictured looking at houses with a striker tipped to move to the Emirates and (former) Schalke boss Jens Keller seemed to find the Gunners’ reported move for Julian Draxler laughable.
