Man United reject Juventus enquiry for midfield maestro

Juventus have had an enquiry for Manchester United playmaker Juan Mata rejected, according to reports in Italy.
The Serie A club are on the hunt for an attacking midfielder during the January transfer window, with Galatasaray star Wesley Sneijder and Bayern Munich youngster Xherdan Shaqiri also reported targets.
Mata is another player believed to be interesting Juventus, who after 16 games, sit top of the Serie A table with 39 points.
However, according to Tuttosport, Manchester United have immediately rejected an approach from Juventus for Mata.
The Spain international has made a solid start to life under new coach Louis van Gaal, scoring five goals in 17 Premier League appearances.
And the Red Devils have now told Juventus to forget about signing Mata, who remains firmly in Van Gaal's plan this season.
