Sevilla forward set for exit - good news for Arsenal or West Ham?

Arsenal and West Ham interest Kevin Gameiro is destined for a summer transfer away from Sevilla.

The Frenchman has long been linked with a move to Arsenal due partly to his shared nationality with manager Arsene Wenger.

And West Ham reportedly made a handsome offer to the La Liga side last summer for his services that failed.

However, the 27-year-old no longer has a permanent place in the starting XI with a number of faces familiar to the Premier League rivalling him for a place in the Sevilla attack.

Ex-Arsenal man Jose Antonio Reyes, former Everton loan star Gerard Deulofeu and Liverpool owned Iago Aspas are all vying for a place ahead of the former PSG man.

Gamiero has started just two league matches this season, with seven sub appearances, but still managed to grab two goals.

The forward's two season in Spain have not been a wasted exercise, however, as he was was part of the side that won the Europa League last season, coming off the bench to score the winning penalty shoot-out kick.

Clubs in France will certainly be interested in offering him a route back home but goal-shy Premier League sides will be on red alert also.
