Liverpool have failed to reach the heights of last season and part of that reason has to be down to the deals that were made in the summer. None of Liverpool’s signings made during the last transfer window have succeeded in filling the void left by Louis Suarez.

The Reds currently lie eighth in the Premier League with 28 goals from 20 games. Compare that to this time last season when they had scored 46 goals, and it’s clear to see the problems lie not just in the defence.
