Chelsea transfer news: £27m target is ‘quick and goes past people easily’ says Danny Murphy

Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has been singing the praises Chelsea transfer target Juan Cuadrado.
Murphy witnessed at first hand the destruction Cuadrado can cause to opposition defences during the 2014 World Cup where he worked as a television analyst, though is unsure where the 26-year-old Colombian would fit in at Stamford Bridge.
“He's quick, has good close control and goes past people really easily,” Murphy told the Colin Murray show on talkSPORT.
“He's a real pacey threat and nicks a goal, but I'm still not sure where he'd get in [Chelsea's] team.”
Cuadrado scored one goal in five World Cup games for Colombia's entertaining side and despite Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Montella claiming his player is going nowhere, Chelsea continue to be linked with a £27m move.
According to one journalist, it would be money well spent and with Blues outcast Mohamed Salah rumoured to be heading to Roma, a deal for Cuadrado is said to be close.
