Former Everton star wanted by Abu Dhabi side Al-Wahda

Former Everton favourite Tim Cahill is wanted by Al-Wahda in Abu Dhabi.

Cahill, who is considered one of Everton's greatest ever players after eight superb years at Goodison Park, still has a year left on his contract at New York Red Bulls, who he joined in 2012.

However, according to reports in the UAE, Arabian Gulf League side Al-Wahda are hopeful of signing him once the Asian Cup ends later this month.

Cahill is currently in action for Australia in the tournament but, according to Middle East newspaper The National, there is already a tentative agreement for him to join Al-Wahda at the conclusion of the Cup.
