Transfer news: Manchester City and Manchester United tracking Italian strike starlet Pietro Pellegri

Manchester City and Manchester United are keeping tabs on Italy Under-17 youth star Pietro Pellegri, who is also attracting the interest of Juventus.

A product of the Genoa academy, the 16-year-old striker is earning rave reviews for his performances in youth football and is being touted for a move to one of Europe's big names.

Italian champions Juventus believe the young forward could strike up the perfect strike partnership with talented youngster Moise Kean and they are working hard behind the scenes to force through a move.

However, they are set to face stiff competition for his signature as, according to Tuttosport, Manchester United and Manchester City are also tracking the forward.

Scouts from the Premier League giants have sent back glowing reports on Pellegri and the duo are interested in snaring him away from Genoa this summer.

Pellegri netted his first senior goal for Genoa on the last day of the season against Roma and he has also earned 13 caps for the Italy under-17s.
