Nursey: Off-field issues may have harmed Berahino’s move away from West Brom

Daily Mirror journalist James Nursey joined Danny Kelly and Andy Jacobs to discuss Saido Berahino’s future at West Brom.
The youngster hit the headlines this week, after admitting he wants to ‘move onto bigger things’ in the summer.
Berahino has been linked with a £14million move to Tottenham and Liverpool but neither club launched a bid in the January transfer window.
And the Daily Mirror journalist claims off the field issues may have played a part in that decision.
“Once you get a succession of incidents, as there has been around Berahino, it probably explains in part why there weren’t any clubs willing to pay the big money for him last month,” he said.
“He’s been in front of magistrates for drink driving and he’s been fined for turning up late for matches.”
