Transfer news: Sporting Lisbon put £26million price tag on Adrien Silva amid interest from Leicester City and Tottenham

Sporting Lisbon have told Leicester City and Tottenham they can sign Adrien Silva this summer – if they fork out £26million.

The 28-year-old is ready to leave Portugal in the coming months after almost sealing a move away a year ago.

Back then it was Leicester who were chasing the midfielder, but a deal broke down at the 11th hour.

Silva has a reported release-clause of around £39.5m but, according to Record, he can leave for £26m this summer.

Sporting are finally willing to let their club captain go this summer and they believe that fee is a fair price.

So far, Spurs have been most linked with Silva this summer and there has even been talk of them putting together an opening offer worth £17.5m.
